Planning the moving truck to arrive at 9am the day after our send-off party may not have been the best idea in hindsight. Despite our exhaustion, we managing to get up bright and early before our helpers arrived as we now had to pack everything we had to keep out for the party.
Considering we had consciously tried to minimize our purchases in the last year (in anticipation of a potential move) and leveraging Kijiji to sell most of our furniture, you’d think a 17’ Uhaul would be more than enough – boy were we wrong!
Thankfully we had some help (Thanks Justin, Hillary and Aushtin!) as moving Jordan’s massive home gym, my antiques and our assortment of heavy textbooks would have been near impossible without their helping hands.
After a complicated 4hr game of Tetris, consuming every inch of that Uhaul, we managed to squeeze almost everything in (including the van) that needed to go into storage.

We were then off to Creemore to Jordan’s parent’s house as they had graciously offered their garage attic as a home for our belongings. With their help we were able to quickly unload the truck and shuttle everything up their attic stairs, which proved to be quite the challenge in itself

After a long 17hr day we managed to get almost everything put away! Now we’re onto sorting the short list of clothes and items to take with us then madly cleaning before the closing Thursday!
