A 2518m dormant conical volcano, the summit of Mount Taranaki was the most challenging yet rewarding hike we’re done in New Zealand. From the scoria slopes to the ‘Lizard’ rocky ridge, the final summit through the snow was well worth it for the 360 degree view at the top!
