Milford Sound is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Known as the 8th wonder of the world, it is one of the most popular destinations in New Zealand and with it’s stunning beauty – it’s no wonder (pardon the pun). It’s raw beauty has charmed us so much so that we’ve been back 5 times now, experiencing it in rain and shine by cruise, by kayak and foot. However having the opportunity to fly to Milford Sound by helicopter during our adventure with Devin Super Tramp has to be one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Not only was it my FIRST time in a helicopter, but it was through some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain in the world!

It isn’t often I’m left speechless, but during the entire flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound, I was left in awe – so taken back of the natural beauty that all I could do was sit there and take it all in. Let me lead you through a photo journey of our helicopter ride to Milford Sound and let the photos speak for themselves.

Remarkables Queenstown

Making the investment to see Milford Sound by air is not a cheap one, but if there’s one time I would recommend you consider splurging, it would be for this – something I’m sure you won’t regret!
